Jack and the Beanstalk

Jack and The Beanstalk opened at the Colour House Childrens Theatre on Saturday 1st December and ran for a huge 11 weeks, ending on the 10th February 2008. The popular family pantomime took a slightly different twist, choosing to have the 'Butler' of the Giants castle as the visual baddie who was accompanied by the traditional booming voice of the Giant yelling 'Fi, Fie, Fo, Fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman'.

Children and Adults alike were transported to the Land Of Magic where the fast paced and highly comic pantomime was set. With an all singing and dancing cow, a twinkly fairy and an outragreous Dame this show was a great sucess.

Hello Sunshine founder Elizabeth Crawford directed the piece, which starred Sunshine actress Lucy Joannides as Jack.

Local press attanded and gave fantastic reviews: 'The festive season is crammed full with theatrical productions and you could be forgiven for wondering which show to catch. But there are good reasons why this family panto should not be overlooked.'
